Mental Health Awareness Course

What is a Mental Health Awareness Course?

We offer a Mental Health Awareness short course that lasts 3-4 hours, making it perfect for a morning or afternoon session. The short course aims to improve the mental health knowledge and skills of individuals.

Delegates that complete this course will have:

  • An overview of adults and young people’s mental health and factors that affect wellbeing.
  • An introduction in spotting the triggers and signs of mental health issues
  • Knowledge to help an individual to recover their health by guiding them to further support whether that’s through self-help sites, their place of learning, the NHS, or a mix engaging with parents, carers and external agencies where appropriate
  • Tools to look after your own mental wellbeing

Who is the course suitable for?

This course is a shorter training than the full Mental Health First Aid course. It provides an overview of Youth Mental Health and is ideal for those who work, or have an interest in working with young people in a professional or voluntary capacity. It is also useful for people who are interested in the mental health of young people such as parents or carers.

This training is suitable for individuals, small groups and large organisations. We run courses for those aged 16+, however please be aware that due to the sensitive nature of the content, it may not be suitable for all younger participants.

How much does the course cost?

The cost of this course is based on the size of the audience if its for a group booking so please get in touch to discuss the options.

If its for an individual to attend one of our courses we organise its priced specifically to the event.

Where are the Mental Health Awareness Course's held?

We run courses all over the UK. We can run them for groups at a venue to suit you.
